Recently, the news has been full of big, shiny gig announcements for next summer. We wouldn’t blame you if you’re already counting down the days until Sam Fender’s ‘People Watching’ Stadium tour, Oasis’ long-awaited reunion or Coldplay’s Wembley extravaganza. There are also massive shows from Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa and Lana Del Rey to put in your diary – and that’s before we start talking about festivals.
But before you write the rest of 2024 off, get a load of these amazing gigs coming up in December. There’s plenty of fun still to be had…
Sites such as viagogo allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that ticket conditions often prohibit resale after initial purchase. Those tickets may not be valid for admittance to gigs.
Fans intending to buy tickets for live events through resale websites should check the ticket terms and conditions, to confirm whether resale is prohibited, before they buy. Ticket terms and conditions can be checked with the original seller, such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation. If resale is prohibited, tickets bought second-hand could be voided and admission to the event refused.
Remi Wolf
Fresh from supporting Olivia Rodrigo on her ‘Guts’ World Tour, Californian singer-songwriter Remi Wolf is returning to the UK for a run of shows in celebration of second album ‘Big Ideas’ – a gloriously chaotic record with a lot of heart. Boasting tunes like ‘Cinderella’ and ‘Soup’, Remi has the perfect soundtrack for the ultimate funk-pop party. Don’s miss it.

Sam Fender
Next year, Geordie rock ‘n’ roller Sam Fender will play his biggest ever headline show at London Stadium and, in doing so, become the first artist to headline St James’ Park five times. There’s also new album ‘People Watching’ which, based on the lead single of the same name, is shaping up to be his best yet. Before all that though, Fender is set to introduce this new era with a string of more intimate arena gigs. Let’s face it, these are the smallest gigs he’ll play for a while.
Sam Fender plays:
DECEMBER 2024:
2 – 3Arena, Dublin
4 – First Direct Arena, Leeds
6 – Co-Op Live, Manchester
7 – Co-Op Live, Manchester

Paul McCartney
A living legend! Literal Beatle Paul McCartney is closing out the year with a series of ‘Got Back’ headline shows. “It’s going to be an amazing end to the year,” he promised. “Let’s get set to party. I can’t wait to see you.” With some of the greatest pop songs ever written at his disposable, a Macca gig is always special but this close to December 25, we’ll be hoping for ‘Wonderful Christmastime’ in particular.
Paul McCartney plays:
DECEMBER
14 – Co-Op Live, Manchester
15 – Co-Op Live, Manchester
18 – The O2, London
19 – The O2, London
Confidence Man
Charli XCX’s ‘Brat’ tour might be pretty much over but fellow sesh-heads Confidence Man are jetting over from Oz to keep the rave going. One of the most thrilling and euphoric live bands around, the pair’s snarling take on dance has made them festival favourites – and now they’re heading out on their own headline tour. Backed by the classics as well as material from recently released ‘3am (La La La)’, it’s set to be the biggest party this side of New Year.
Confidence Man play:
DECEMBER
4 – O2 Institute, Birmingham
6 – O2 Academy Brixton, London
7 – O2 Academy Brixton, London
Slipknot
In recent years, Slipknot have become comfortable festival headliners and made playing arenas look easy thanks to the polished rage of recent albums ‘We Are Not Your Kind’ and ‘The End So Far’. To celebrate its 25th anniversary though, the motley crew are throwing things back to the start of their career by playing self-titled debut album ‘Slipknot’. Nostalgia meets untethered ferocity? Sounds like a good night to us.
Slipknot play:
DECEMBER
14 – First Direct Arena, Leeds
15 – OVO Hydro, Glasgow
17 – Co-op Live Arena, Manchester
18 – Utilita Arena, Birmingham
20 – O2 Arena, London
Travis
After supporting The Killers on their ‘Rebel Diamonds’ Greatest Hits tour, we’re hoping Travis follow suit and use these gigs to celebrate their own impressive legacy. That means plenty of stuff from breakout album ‘The Man Who’ and its hugely successful follow-up ‘The Invisible Band’ as well as all the hits from recently released 10th album ‘LA Times’, on which they sound like a band possessed of newfound purpose.
Travis play:
DECEMBER
05 – O2 Academy, Leeds
06 – Albert Hall, Manchester
08 – Olympia, Liverpool
09 – The Halls, Wolverhampton
10 – Rock City, Nottingham

18 – Octagon, Sheffield
19 – City Hall, Newcastle
21 – OVO Hydro, Glasgow
The Prodigy
Armed with a “sonically fresh attack”, The Prodigy are heading out on their ‘Disrupta’ tour. Featuring a couple of late night shows in London and Manchester, and soundtracked by some of the most powerful rave-rock anthems ever created, you just know these gigs are going to be incredible. “We never turn down the chance to play the UK,” the band said upon announcing the shows, and you should never turn down the chance to see them either.
The Prodigy play:
DECEMBER
13 – Bridlington Spa, Bridlington
14 – The Warehouse Project, Manchester*
15 – The Warehouse Project, Manchester
17 – Dec Civic Hall, Wolverhampton
19 – O2 Academy Brixton

(*Late show, 1am curfew)
Vampire Weekend
An overdue celebration of fifth album ‘Only God Was Above Us’, Vampire Weekend are seeing out 2024 with a run around the UK. “This album is kinda heavy but we had a ball making it,” vocalist Ezra Koenig said earlier this year. We’re sure you’ll have a similarly euphoric time hearing them play it as loud as possible.
Vampire Weekend play:
DECEMBER
01 – O2 Apollo, Manchester
02 – O2 Apollo, Manchester
04 – Eventim Apollo, London
05 – Eventim Apollo, London
06 – The Halls, Wolverhampton
08 – OVO Hydro, Glasgow
10 – O2 Academy Brixton, London
11 – O2 Academy Brixton, London
A.G. Cook
As well as helping create Charli XCX’s ‘Brat’, A.G. Cook has spent 2024 recreating the swagger of Britpop with his third studio album. Part nostalgic throwback, part wicked reinvention, it’s a record worthy of a grubby indie disco. What better way to see out the year?
AG Cook plays:
DECEMBER
15 – SWG3, Glasgow
17 – Gorilla, Manchester
20 – Electric Brixton, London
Charli XCX
Charli broke through in the biggest way possible with ‘Brat’ this summer. Her album of euphoric, rave-ready bangers has made political headlines and been remixed by everyone from Lorde to Billie Eilish. After the chaotic party that was her Sweat co-headline tour with Troye Sivan dominated US arenas and social media, Charli’s coming home for a first ever UK arena tour. Slime-green tees at the ready.
Charli XCX plays:
DECEMBER
2 – OVO Hydro, Glasgow
Fontaines D.C.
Fontaines D.C. have always been great but fourth album ‘Romance’ saw the Irish rockers swap post-punk for the rebellious freedom of nu-metal. A snotty, ‘00s-inspired record, the likes of ‘Starburster’ and ‘Here’s The Thing’ are delivered with a newfound swagger while ‘Favourite’ is a tender anthem that’s built for stadium-sized singalongs. Next year the band headlines London’s Finsbury Park but before that, there’s a massive UK headline run.
Fontaines D.C. play:
DECEMBER
3 – First Direct Arena, Leeds
4 – OVO Hydro, Glasgow
6 – 3Arena, Dublin
Zayn Malik
Zayn Malik played his first proper solo gig earlier this year at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire and now he’s back for his first proper solo tour. A celebration of fourth album ‘Room Under The Stairs‘ as well as his growing musical legacy, it’s set to be an emotional set of gigs.
Zayn Malik plays:
DECEMBER
02 – Leeds
03 – Newcastle
04 – Manchester
08 – Edinburgh
09 – Edinburgh
Sleep Token
For a while, Sleep Token were the biggest cult band in metal. Now with a sold-out UK arena tour and a slot at the top of Download Festival next year (alongside living legends Green Day and Korn), they’re undeniably one of the greats. Sure, the band don’t do interviews and have yet to reveal their true identities but that doesn’t stop their giddy blend of pop, R&B and brutal riffs from sounding absolutely incredible.
Sleep Token play:
DECEMBER
3 – O2 Arena, London
